VAX-D Spinal Decompression

What is VAX-D?

A VAX-D table is a nonsurgical computerized medical device that is used to perform spinal decompression therapy. It is a safe and noninvasive treatment for acute and chronic neck pain, back pain, and sciatica.

Dr. Sheps collaborated with Dr. Allan Dyer–the inventor of the Trans-thoracic Cardiac Defibrillator–to develop protocols for Dr. Dyer’s original Vertebral Axial Decompression (VAX-D) table. To date, Dr. Sheps has used the VAX-D table to treat over 5,000 patients.

What conditions can be treated with VAX-D?

  • Neck pain

  • Back pain

  • Sciatica

What can I expect from treatment?

During treatment, you will lay face down on the table and be fitted with a harness. The VAX-D table will then be used to gently stretch your spine; this technique alleviates pressure on the discs, which targets pain and improves circulation.

Each session lasts about 45 minutes. The number of sessions recommended will vary based on the nature and the severity of your condition.

*Individual results of treatment may vary.
